Fittonia albivenis is an evergreen perennial cultivar from the Acanthaceae family. In cultivation, it is usually grown indoors as a houseplant, but they can be used as groundcover in mild climates.
Lighting requirements: Position your Fittonia albivenis in a bright, well lit room with filtered sunlight they do not like direct sun. Direct light can burn the leaves but it may also cause the leaves to lose some of their natural colours and appear less saturated. In very low light settings the leaves may lose some colour intensity.
Watering requirements: They require a low to moderate amount of water. Keep the soil moist throughout spring and summer but let it dry out completely in between watering.
Environmental requirements: Fittonias like to be warm, and generally, a comfortable room temperature is acceptable. Anything between 18 – 30°c is good. Fittonias also make great plants for a terrarium.
